caliper rebuild 200 1977

Greetings all-

I found a small tear in one of my piston boots on my caliper, so I am assuming that I need to rebuild it. Any suggestions on what kind of kit I should get? What is included in the kit? FYI, it is the front driver side girling.

Thanks-

The kit should include boots and piston o-rings, and I think was about $20. My limited experience with rebuilding calipers convinced me to go to the auto parts store and buy them already rebuilt, about $40. Getting all the pistons out proved to be a messy chore, blocking pistons with a block of wood from coming all the way out to pop the ones out on the other side. I had to take apart three calipers to get a fairly good set of pistons. Then of course there is the bleeder valves, which can be a problem. You may get away with just replacing the boots as long as the pistons move freely. I just don't like to risk re-visiting a ruined brake job because of sticking pistons.

Do bleed nipples come with a kit?
