Well, I was just up in snow-country with my wagon and when driving on the wet, sanded roads my rear window got filthy! Would a rear wing spoiler help reduce this effect in any way? Maybe by changing the airflow dynamics? I'm thinking of getting one and would appreciate any advice (and let me know if you have one to sell, thanks!).

The Jen: Oh, yes, p-u-l-l-e-e-z-e get that spoiler. It will REALLY irk the "rice" cars (I saw a 'ricer' pulled over on the 410Loop in San Antonio the other night: he went screaming by me, I was doing 65, he was doing prolly 85 or better; then he saw the cop parked on my right, and when he hit the brakes, that 'elevated' third brake light all-but-said- "Here I am, follow me"). It will also bend out of shape the nuvo-reesh (yes, I CAN spell it correctly: but they don't deserve the respect! :>) ) Mercedes' with spoilers, as in, "Sheesh, if a VoVo can have one, what makes ME so special?;" see, then it's just a matter of degree...And finally, it's kind of the opposite of gilding the lily, and projects a certain "je ne sais quoi"( I WILL take some spelling pointers on THAT one!) a devil-may-care attitude: you'll get some serious respect from the cognoscenti....in the Costco parking lot (where I, too, shop BTW, sans spoiler) Besides, I'd love to see a picture of it...Whatever ya do, enjoy it!--PD.

There are a couple of V70 rear spoilers on ebay now that could probably be made to work on a 745. Not sure if the hatch will remain clean, however.

Jenn, I've had the spoiler on my wagon since this past summer. I haven't noticed my rear window being any cleaner because of it. It does look great and looks like it belongs on the car. I've had some people ask me if it is an OEM part. You also get the benefit of an extra 3rd brakelight (if you don't already have one) that is positioned up high on the back of the car which can only make you more noticeable.

Ahhhhh, darn it! That was my practical excuse to get one! (cleaner window) :) Extra brakelight=more safety.......YAH that's it :) OH, and they look cool..... Too bad it's going to cost me a ton of $ to get it up to NS. Do you have a pic of it on your car?
