Radio Shack sell a 12V LED (has the resistor built). You don't need a number, just ask for it. I connected the LED permanently under the hood so it's always there for quick refernce when I open the hood for weekly visual. You can also use a meter to do monitor the test point.

No shematic needed. All LH2.0 and 2.2 have a test point for the idle mixture that alternates between 12V and ground. When mixture is correct it will spend equal time high and low. You can monitor this with a meter or better yet an LED between the test point and any 12V point. On 200 I think you will find it on front of the driver side strut tower, a double unused connector, you want the pink wire.

LED across pink wire and 12v? or ground? Also, what years are we talking here? Just poking around my "new" '82 and the FI looks... mechanical!

Thanks,
J

Hooks up between test point and 12V. Of course you must get the polarity right. Anode to 12V and cathode to test point. I think your 82 would have the CIS system, totally different from the LH systems. However I see that you have an 86 740. This has the LH system and there is test point but the wire color is different.
