I can't see, my lights are out 200 1992

My left low-beam lamp burnt out about three months ago. Since then I've replaced it three times. One only lasted a day,the most recent lasted about two months, but just burnt out again. I've been using Philips. I haven't noticed any flare or other irregularities with the left lamp. The right headlight has operated fine for years.

Can you help? thanks, jdl

Sounds like a wiring problem. When the low beam goes out again, swap bulbs side to side. Prove that it's the bulb fo sho. Trace the wiring for corrosion on connectors and ground points. Put in some dielectric grease (AutoZone) after cleaning all the contacts, to prevent future corrosion.

Excessive burning out usually comes from over-voltage, but darned if I can figure out where you would be getting that.

    Post results.

    Good Luck,

    Bob
