Unbelievable parts find 140-160

A friend called and told me there was a Volvo 140 in a pic 'n pull that looked like maybe an ITB SCCA car, still streetable. He pulled the Revolution wheels off of it (!) and then told me.

I went there today and got:

2 Koni front shocks
4 front braided brake hoses
front racing springs (very short, fat wire)
a Volvo rally gauge set, that looks almost new
and an owner's manual

total cost - $38.00.

Notice I didn't say where. I'm going back for the 4-speed / overdrive tranny and maybe the rear springs. The roll bar had been removed.

I will e-mail you. We hope to pull it this weekend. Weather is turning crappy here tomorrow, but may be OK by the weekend.

Wow. Was that by you or by me? I sold the rear axle out of a parts car this weekend to a gent who had just come from a yard, but didn't mention that!

It's a yard down toward Pueblo. No 1800's or 122's, and only one other late 140, which was wrecked and picked-over pretty good.

That sounds a wee bit like the car I just bought this weekend: 142 w/ a fresh "hot" motor, dual webers, oil cooler, Bhp anti-rollbars, springs, jacking plates, MSW 15x7 wheels, corbeau seat, extra Fi head, extra downdraft weber, 2 extra carb heads.

for $600.

I think it's going to end up being a ITB car.

This car has fiberglass front fenders, and the panard rod is hiem-jointed (or uses spherical bearings, whatever the proper name is). Do you want me to pull any of that for you? It's an F.I. car. We're going to pull the valve cover and check for any special rocker or dual valve springs.

UnbHas either of thes finds got seat belts? 140-160

Kermit or Per
I'm still trying to find some good retractable front seat belts and the center latch between the front seats. If you've got the time and they look good enough (retracttors work and release, and the webbing not to worn), I'd really appreciate it. thanks

No, this one did have a roll bar, with (probably) competetion belts installed, since the stock ones were removed.

Was that a rollbar or cage? was it bolt in or weld in?

Mine does not have a cage, but needs one!

I'm not sure about the seatbelts on mine, it's got competition belts on the drivers side. (it's about 1100 miles from here in my brother's garage)

It wasn't there - I saw holes in the floorboards where it was removed, presumably with a sawzall! It was a cage, it evidently had a front hoop under the dash at least.

I'm probably not going to tackle the 140 I found, I'll probably hand it off to my brother......
