wiring for oil temp gauge 200

Hi all,

Finally located an oil temp gauge and am awaiting the sending unit. So in the meantime, I have been trying to figure out how to hook it up. The back of the gauge has three connector points labeled "G" and "+" and what looks to be an upside down "T" or the number "1". Which one goes to the sender and which
one(s) go to the fuse box. Thanks, George

Hi George,

At a guess the 'T' goes to the sender, the '+' goes to a switched supply (such as from the fuse box) and 'G' goes to ground, such as a suitable earth point.

Routing the cables neatly and crimping/soldering the connectors will take longer than it will to find a suitable point for eack of the above.

Regards,

big Rich.

G always means sender. + from an ignition controlled fuse. - or the ground symbol goes to your center console main ground. Light powers off the brown dash wire and light ground splices to your other gauge ground. Where did you locate a sender?

I stand corrected - thanks. Presumably then the 'T' is supposed to be the little 'tv antennae' type symbol that signifies earth (or ground).

Rich.
