My Bro in law just picked up (free) a carburated 1980/81 244 GLE for parts. I am salvaging what's left over for a beater. It has a "Lambda Sond" logo in the grille.

Now...what is this? Did Volvo realy display the fact that their cars had O2 sensors so proudly?

Oh, the leather is cracking, I was told furniture polish like pledge would help keep it nice...any truth dudes?

For the leather, don't use furniture polish! It will dry it out. Clean it with LEXOL leather cleaner (per instructions on bottle), then use the LEXOL leather conditioner. These are available at most auto parts stores for between 7.00 and 10.00 a bottle. I have a 1988 740GLE and a 1990745ti. I've been extremely happy with the results from LEXOL products.

There are a lot of leather care products out there, dude, but Pledge isn't one of them. Maybe a leather care subject line posted here would get some suggestions for products that other people have actually found to be helpful.

Yeah ,they were kinda proud that they had the ONLY car with closed-loop fuel injection for a couple of years.

...and when the system finally went into european cars (1987), Volvo proudly "reinvented" it. Yes, swedish 1987 and 1988 models also had the lambda sond badge :-).
