Who has used Swedish Car Specialists in Schaumburg, IL? 1990 740GL 700 1988

Hi,

I am a recent Brick owner who needs an good, fair mechanic in the Chicago NW suburbs. I know the above shop is a recommended installer for IPD parts, but I know nothing else about them. I have a tricky brake/wheel shuddering problem that Volvo and another independent shop has been unable to pinpoint. I do not want to get new rotors/pads every 5K as the previous owner was getting from Volvo. Thanks in advance.

Ken B.

Hello Ken,
I live in Chicago.Owner of '88 245.
I have heard of Swedish Car Specialists but never used them to work on my Volvo but there is a place in Winnetka called Hubbard Woods Motor Inc. and they do very good work.My girlfriend and I have used them on numerous occasions to work on our Volvos. Now I do most most of my work myself thanks to this website and Bentleys. If it is a complicated job,I would not hesitate to use them again. They are a little pricey but very good at what they do.They work on Volvos only. Hope this help.

Ken:

I asked the same question about two weeks ago and no one has answered me yet. I live in the far NW suburbs and would like to know too. I see their race cars at Midwestern Council events at Blackhawk. Maybe you will have better luck.
