850 steel wheels on a 740?kosher?

Ebayer claim it fits both:

.Et 43 (850) as opposed to ET 25.
The bolt pattern is same 5x108
Do they fit a 740 RWD without modification and spacers?

I frequently correct ebay'ers on things like this. Don't count on these wheels fitting a 740 w/o spacers. On the front, the tire will probably rub the strut housing. The rear will probably not rub, but it will decrease the track width significantly. Not worth it.

Don't count on it working out without spacers/adapters. Stick with wheels that are fitted to RWD.

While I haven't tried this one, I think you will need longer studs and wheel spacers. Nick Choy did this on his 1990 745T to use late model wheels.
