Loose transmission shifter 700 1990

I have a '90 745 Turbo with a manual transmission. The shifter is pretty loose at the moments. The transmission shifts fine but I would like to have the shifter a bit tighter. The Haynes manual has a reference to an adjusting screw but I suspect that the shifter linkage bushings are worn. Does anyone have an idea what parts are needed and how difficult it is to replace them?
