92 940 turbo stalling at low speed 900 1992

i just purchased a new 940 turbo 1992 and have started to find all the problems. the biggest concern is that my car is stalling out on me at stop lights ect.(won't hold a steady idle) but has kickdown on me at speed. My guess is something electrical. i have no codes showing fixed vaccum leaks under advice from a bosch mechanic i also cleaned the throttle body out which seemed to solve the hunt at idle but it is now really high (1500 rpm) i also replaced cap rotor and plugs and plug wires. the car will still die on me though. does anyone have any suggestions i thought matbe a bad air mass or throttle postition sensor but i am not sure how to test them. can anyone help?

92 940 turbo stalling at low speed 900 1992

had similar problems with kids 92 940turbo. i replaced the fuel inj. relay on firewall, the fuel pump relay under radio , the power stage on driv firewall flat stainless module.the dealer replaced the throttle pos sensor behind distributor couple months prior, no more stall problem (assume all the easy stuff is done first)I still have a low 600rpm idle but no stalling now.
I intend to replace the intake manifold gasket next it seems they leak in turbos frequently,

good luck

Check the hoses from the turbo. It may have a hole in it.

I couple of days ago I posted a similar problem that I fixed on my 1991 940 turbo. I was beginning to thing it was my idle control valve, but found it to be my radio suppression relay, which I purchased from Swedish Engineering in Ann Arbor, Mich. for about $25.00 (in stock). Been driving the car for about a month now and now problem. This also caused occasional starting problem.

You may want to check you vacuum lines and hoses to make sure air is not leaking from a crack or lose fitting.
