700 steering pump

Hi,
have posted this on the UK Volvo club site but got no replies, anyone here have any ideas ?

Does anyone know the spec. for the power steering pump on the 740?
Flow rate, max pressure and whether the pressure relief valve is in the pump or the rack.
The reason for asking is that the pumps (even non OEM or recon.) seem to be about twice the price I would expect to pay for the same type of pump from a hydraulic parts supplier.
Given the specs I could probably source a supply of cheap pumps if anyone wanted one (separate resevoir models only)
Thanks for any information.
Colin.

The 740 uses a variety of common pumps from Saginaw and others, depending on the model and year. These are so common that an efficient market should exist among parts suppliers, unless the UK is an anomaly. In the US these pumps are around $50 reconditioned.

Thanks Steve,
Your comments confirm my thoughts that the pumps are a standard part.
The reason for my question was that I recently bought a new pump of similar size and type for the equivalent of $70.
An aftermarket Volvo parts supplier here in UK wants $185 reconditioned or $250 for a genuine part for my 1990 740se. I will try a few other suppliers of pumps!
Colin.

Colin:
Can't help with the power steering pump question but curious about the UK club website. Can you tell me the URL?
