Looks like the '87 744T I picked up at an auction has a dead sunroof motor, and the outer rubber gasket isn't in such good shape... anybody with these spare parts, if you want to sell them, contact me at: fnord@fnordsystems.com

Switch to a manual crank - it is far less expensive, it won't fail again, and it is faster to open and close

okay, it looks like there's a few sunroof motors on ebay... one is from a 1985. The '87 and '85 motors look the same, does anyone know what year range of sunroof motors i'll be able to use in my 744T?

Believe they are all the same, but call a dealer to check for sure. A good parts man can tell you in a jiff. Consider converting to a manual system--good alternative.
