Engine Cold Start Problem 200 1984

My 1984 DL, with engine B23F has problem starting early in the morning. The engine fires up but after couple of back fire stops immediately. The air mass meter has been replaced, the injectors are being serviced. The engine has good compression with no internal leak. When engine stalls, the spark plugs are becoming wet and black. I appreciate any tip!
Thank you, Habib

Engine Cold Start Problem 200 1984

Check the ecu temperature sensor(2 wires on sensor, 1 wire is temp. gauge sender) located under the intake manifold runners 3 and 4. If the sensor or its wiring/connector is bad the ecu doesn't know what temperature the engine is and it instructs the injectors to deliver the wrong quantity of fuel.
