Air Box latch fix 700

I posted a while back on a fix for busted latches on the airbox. Attached is a photo of the installed latches (the two on the other side of the box are the same)

I mounted them using rivets and glue.

Easy, high quality, satisfying repair

McMaster-Carr part number?? 700

I checked their online catalog and found a G latch with 17/32 projection that might work...part number 1889A22? BUT they want $4.17 each in stainless. A little spendy for 6 latches....I'd be happy with cadmium or any plated steel...the stock latches were corrosion resistant enough, it's only the air box mounting that sux.

whyle you have th air box out, dump it into the trash and hook up a K&n cone w/ a heat shield. you'll love your car even more then.

You are a genius. I just bought some of the same latches from McMaster Carr and will report the results. I hope I do it as well. What size rivets did you use?
