Electric Mirrors 200 1984

Mirrors on my 84 245Ti seem to want to go any way but the intended way when I use the console electric control switches...

How to make them work right again? Are the switches the culprit? Any way to disssemble and clean?

on my 79 GT, it was the switches themselves. The contacts were dirty. I cleaned them with some brake parts cleaner and some compressed air. The brake cleaner is a bit harsh, so try something milder first. My 79 was owned by an old man who never(and I mean never) maintained anything. It was pretty gummy. You shoulda seen the flame trap!! OMG!

I had that problem, and it was the harness connections on the back of the switches. I just pressed the connector harder onto the switches and the mirrors started to work normally again.
