I need a used Ignition Lock assy with out the switch. The Idea is to have it re-keyed to my original key. A key broke off into the tumbler and the "locksmith" destroyed it in the removal process.

If the ignition was otherwise working and the locksmith messed it up, then he should be the one getting you a replacement to fix the damage he caused. I don't know what he did to damage the lock, but extracting a broken key should not have damaged the lock itself if done properly. You do realize that the steering column has to be dropped to replace the mechanical ignition switch.. right?

Not an easy job and I wouldn't let the same locksmith do the repair if he doesn't know how to drop the column.... it's a major PITA because there are two break-away bolts that have to be removed to drop the column.
