square versus round tranny mount

The transmission mount I installed today is round, the one I took out is square. I didn't have any problems installing the new one so I just assumed the mounts changed at some point, until I checked some old posts on Brickboard. Is this going to create problems or are they interchangeable.

On my '76 240, I found the square mount to be a poor replacement for the round mount the car came with. For the sake of expediency I installed the wrong part. I believe the angle is different, but couldn't swear to it. Also, I replaced ONLY the trans mount, keeping the old motor mounts, so the results were really short of adequate.
You should get the proper mount for your car.
