I've been starved for inspiration bigtime since Juha decided to make the tractor pulling center into a ricing marketplace. That place used to be an awesome site to check out heavily modified Volvos to serve as inspiration for how to modify your brick visually and internally. Its been gone for a while and I don't know where to turn. Please help me! I had another attack tonight where I really wanted to look at awesome Volvos! I need to find some pictures fast!

OK, I'll give you a few. I also added a weekly 240 picture to my links page. I really like the body kit on the car that's there now, but I have no idea where it came from. I think most of these are mostly Volvo. I didn't wait for all of the thumbnail pictures to load because it takes too long, and if you have a 56K, it will take a long time to view all of the full sized images.

You ought to add that list of links to your 240 links page, which is excellent by the way. Even if I don't own a 240. Yet.

Thanks. I would add them, but I don't want to make it too long. Most of those links I included above came from two sites that are on my links page in the "Enthusiast Sites" section. "Swedish Volvo 240 Club" and "Turbo Performance Club" have quite a few pictures.

Thats a right brilliant list of cars you set me up with. Thanks a lot for going to the trouble. I notice you sent me the Saffran 240, very nice touch. It's by far my favorite. 370hp!

No problem. I didn't even think about it when you mentioned the saffron 240 the first time. I just saw the name of the owner of that car and grabbed a pic of it cause I like it too. I've seen a couple 244s with the late 7 series taillights, and I might look into seeing what is involved with doing that. The 850R rear spoiler is something I'd like to do to, but it's hard to find them for sale. The interior of that car is amazing too:

I forgot to include my work-in-progress gallery of 240 race cars:

Volvo 240 Racing

Not all the pages work (12-15 should be blank), and some of the pictures are too large for 56K modems, but I'll fix it eventually with some smaller images linked to the full size.

Forget it man, there really isn't a site out there now with even close to as extensive thumbnails as Juha had. What do you mean by ricing marketplace? He's modified the site to sell performance parts. I personally bought spacers from him; they were fairly priced and VERY high quality. I've got 17" C70 wheels on my 91 744T now.

There are lots of other sites. You just have to know where to look.

Basically what I meant was in reference to his previous interest in selling body parts "hallsjo styling" but I guess I can respect the fact that he sells stuff that makes the car go fast. Either way, the disappearance of the 'real' tpc marked a black day for volvophiles.

Ok I just need to see that 240 "saffran" that puts out 370hp from a B21ft! Just that one! please help me find it!

Hey, I aggree, it's not cool to commercialize a very cool site without at least a link in the corner somewhere to the cool stuff. I was using it for inspiriation to finish my 2 door sw now a sedan delivery, I miss it. Some of the same cool cars can be found in the gallery section of Http://www.badbricks.com/main.htm

Thanks so much for reminding me of that site. Just seeing that flipped purple paint 960 is worth going there. I might be good for a week now.

Hey Brian, how did the 2 door wagon turn out? Is it finished? I might have to cruise down and check it out some time.

I don't know how often you check Swedespeed, but there's going to be a Volvo event in Maryland near the end of April. The details aren't quite set yet, but it will be at the same time as the Volvo Ocean Race events near the Bay Bridge. Updates will be posted here:
