Sticky Lock 200 1981

The door lock on the driver side of my 240 is quite sticky...it's gotten progressively tougher to turn, and there's a grinding noise sometimes when unlocking. Any suggestions for freeing it up?

one thing i do with my locks is to spray inside them with WD40. I was even told by a professional locksmith that this was a good idea. The few lock that was sticky cleaned right up with the WD40....maybe give it a try.

Try using some graphite in the lock. If that doesn't work you may have to take the door panel off and look and the entire mechanism. Graphite can ususally do wonders to sticking locks. Good Luck.
