My antenna on my 1986 244, 220k had the antenna snapped off last night.Went to P&P to discover that every non-motorized antenna was gone. I did find a motorized one from a 740.
Q's-
Will a motorized antenna from a 740, fit w/o too much retrofitting into a 244?

Will an antenna from another make off vechicle fit?

Yes, they are identical units, although some 740s use a slightly different mounting plate. Barring that mod, it should work perfectly and you should be wired up for it too. Can't be easier. At least, my 88 was all set up to go from manual to power.
