I am sure somebody will know the answer to this.
I ordered an O2 sensor from FCP Groton got it today and it is a 4 wire one plug, as far as I can determine mine should be a 3 wire, 2 plugs, Nick says its the only one in the book for my year, he has no other listing. I think my car was made very early in the production run Aug/Sept of 93. Do the 93's have the same set up as the my 94? Is there a plug change that can be made? The dealer wants 225.00 for the correct one and the one I got today was 110.00. Please tell me I don't have to go to the dealer.

The 4 wire sensor has got a separate signal ground wire. That's the only difference compared to the 3 wire sensors which uses the exhaust itself as ground. The 4 wire system because of this provides a safer ground connection - just connect the fourth wire to the engine block. In other words, the new sensor will work but you obviously have got to perform some cutting/splicing. The shop of course should have told you about this before selling the part.

As far as I know the O2 sensor on my 92 960 is a 3 wire sytem. Are you sure it is bad. I had many 2-1-2 codes and there was nothing wrong with the O2 sensor. The problem was elsewhere. A volt meter hooked up to the sensor will let you know if it is bad . The voltage should be between .1 and .9 volts. Good Luck.
