Crush everything older than 15 years? 140-160 1972

I suspect that most of you have read the article in the ipd newsletter, but just in case...

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c107:1:./temp/~c107ultWiT:e198302:

This is a wev site that contains the wording of the legislation introduced by Senator Daschle that would create a program that would crush cars and light trucks over 15 year old. The program would be voluntary, but then how many voluntary government programs have become mandatory.

If you agree that this is something that needs to be addressed, you might want to email your Senators and Representatives about your thoughts.

FANTASTIC!! However, have you ever noticed that the Senate majority leader can do funny things with pet projects? I'm from South Dakota and have watched Mr. Daschle for many years. Be looking for this in some form again.

Couldn't get the link to work.....

But I DO have a .50 calibre rifle and also a smaller one,
and as far as I know have a right to preserve and protect my property,
which cannot be taken away without due process, and then only
with compensation. (maybe it will become my home, in which case
it will be harder yet...)

As near as I can tell what Daschle is proposing, like most everything
else he does, is undue process. Maybe you guys out there on the coasts
have problems caused by autos but mostly all we have is impaired drivers,
most of whom seem to somehow be able to get new cars.

O dear..

It looks that you have some kind of trouble if that is to come true..
Isnīt some car clubs that working with questions like this?
Here in Sweden we have carclubs that have negociete whit the swedish government and for some years ago one of our dreams come true.
Enthusiast car that are older than 30 year is tax free end they have to trough inspections every 2 years, newer cars have to go trough the inspection every year and we have to pay taxes for them too.
