140 front end on PV 444-544

Due to popular demand I have put a number of extra photo's of the 140 front end on my PV on
http://www.classic-car-adventures.com/volvo/PV544s.html
some text to follow although I will be taking a number of the photo's off after a week or so.

Wow Hans,
After seeing the scenery in a couple of those pics I want to move NZ. Are those mountains in the background skiable? PV is looking good.

haha, those 'mountains' in the background are hills and avocdos grow 3/4 of the way up. Plenty of skiable mountains in NZ though, one about 21/2 hours from here, lots in the south island.

Hey H-P!
Many thanks for the fill-in (intended) on your work. Very comprehensive
and well documented. Might be interested to know that we had a cyclist
from the Bay of Plenty live with us in Panama for a couple years, and
occasionally served as interpreters between him and US Gringos. Among
other things I found that you don't want to present a kiwi with a job if
you aren't sure you want it completed. Once the challenge is taken.....

Were the frame rails of the 544 spaced right for the 140 crossmember
mounting? Hard to believe that it was so near a bolt-in job!

Hi George, Not very many kiwi's are multi lingal, although thats improving, of course it would help if you guys learn't english hehe. Inside of front rails on PV are standard apart from grafting in steering box mounts and taking 50mm ish off height.
Regards
Hans
