Years ago I removed the seal in order to have my GT painted. Since then the car has been in the garage most of the time. Now, I expect to drive it for a few months, and should put that seal back. What glue or sealant would work best?

3-M super weather strip adhesive, yellow. Apply to seal AND car body/sunroof, let dry, then carefully install the seal. Immediate bond, lasts forever.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem. I'm anticipating painting my 81 242 and have purchased the replacement sunroof seals. They don't come with a tube of sealant. There are various such supplies available in the Volvo parts catalog but they don't specify what each is used for. I haven't removed the old seals but the adhesive appears to be a thin, hard setting type. Someone out there must know what to use!
