240 Brake Boost conversion to 68 wagon 120-130 1968

Has anyone seen a 240 booster modified on a 122? I am presently running w/o a booster on my wagon and would like to get a good recent used booter/master cylinder mounted on the firewall. I have seen some photos on the web that suggest the conversion is indeed possible. From my rough measuring it looks like a welded plate to expand the bolt mounting surface and a slight(1")rise in the positioning for the cylinder fit to pedal shaft would be the chief concerns. Would this not be preferable to modifying very old 140 booster/cylinders or the outlay of $400 plus on remote boosters? Any other ideas? Ken (122 D-jet wagon, 1800ES project underway)

A remote booster should "only" cost 250 Dollars or so. As for the integrated master/booster setup, anything is possible. But bear in mind that when Volvo did it on the'70 cars they found it necessary to dispense with the hydraulic clutch and use a cable setup.

Pete
