940 ´94; external temperature display 900 1994

For whatever strange reason, the display of the external thermometer (left bottom corner of instrument cluster) is broken and dead.
I am looking for a replacement unit but seem to be unable to find one!
HELP!!

Have you determined whether the gauge is broken/dead or just a bad connection/sensor? You should be able to get it from your dealer. However, IIRC, the unit is a sealed unit which can't be serviced so it'll have to replaced in its entirety. Of course, if you're handy with electronics and have time, you can certainly experiment...

Nick,
If you still have the temp displayed, most likely the little light bulb that illuminates the display has burnt out.
The plastic "box" that houses display, electronics and the lightbulb is easily removed (1 screw) from underneath and behind the dash. Replace the lightbulb and you should be fine!

Martin
