745 purchase advice 700

Hi all,
I have the opportunity to buy a 1989 745 with 105k mikes, cloth interior, 3rd row seat, 1 owner, in very good condition.
What's a fair purchase price? Are there any problem areas should I look for?
Mike

    Haven't a clue on price. List of things to check;

The air likely doesn't work - open the windows or fix it for a king's ransom.

Front rotors may be warped - brakes will still work fine

Ball joints may be gone - cheap to fix

Dash may be cracked - aren't they all?

    Headliner/sunroof leaks

Power windows might not work - likely dirty switches.

Lumbar support may have snapped - still comfy seats.

    Quirky dashboard lights.

    Rotted out horns.

    Front crank seal.

    Differential seal.

Buy an extra fuel pump relay and stick it in the glovebox.

Buy it, put your kids in it, you won't be afraid of any truck/train hitting you on the expressway. you'll love it.

    Mike:

If the car is in good shape I would suggest paying anything up to about 5000.00 bucks. For problem area's, and you definitely deal with some at the 100,000 mile mark, check the 700\900 FAQ. Read the whole thing. It is very informative.
