Carbonized oil on valves - RISILONE?? 900

I read of carbonized oil on the valves. I presume it is coming from oil flowing through the turbo?

I have noticed some ticking in my 940T (195K)....so,
...yesterday I stopped and put in 1/2 qt of Risilone (to bring oil to proper level). I was a bit cautious about trying anything new with my 'Red Flash' ...but it really seems to have more power, and I can tell that the sound from the valves is quieter.

Did I do good? Should I put the other half in at the next oil change?

Are you burning oil? How much? Smoke out the back?

Carbonized oil on the valves comes from oil coming down the valve stems. Volvo uses seals on the intake valve guides. Since the exhaust valves aren't in a low pressure area, they don't need seals. If your turbo was leaking that much oil, it would be shot.
