Second post. Quick question.

Will a hood from a 93 940 fit my 91 940T. They look the same ..i.e., neither go back to the windshield.

I remember answering this twice already.

IF your 940 has fog lights next to the grille:
then
Any 940 WITH foglights will have the same hood.

Conversely:

IF your 940 does NOT have fog lights next to the grille:
then
Any 940 without foglights will have the same hood.
ALSO, as a bonus, ANY 740 from 1990-1992 will have the same hood, in case you can't find one off of a car that says "940" on it.

If you don't have this information for the dealer, they won't be of any more help than this board has already been. Ditto for any body supply shop.

The determining factor is:

FOGLIGHTS, or NO FOGLIGHTS.


Last:

A hood from a 940SE fits ONLY the 940SE in model year 1991. Forget about it unless you're trying to get a hood from a 1991 940SE; it won't fit.

Yes, if both cars have foglights next to the grille, or if both cars don't have foglights next to the grille. Wasn't this covered already?

What was said before was about the hood going all the way back to the windshield, which neither of these do.

Well, the 91 has foglights, and the 93 does not. Why would that have anything to do with the hood? The 93 just has a flat piece there where the foglights should be.

I guess I may have to call the dealer.

I'd be very surprised if not, but a call to your local Volvo dealer's parts department will confirm.
