Pre-heat Hose Removal 200

Is it okay to remove the pre-heat hose? I live in the southeast where it's hot most of the time. Do I really need it and will it cause problems or help in any way? I hope it's okay because I already took it off.

Yes, Paul means you might fry your AMM if you get the flapper stuck in the hot air position. It frequently happens, and you should definitely straighten this out so that your are onle breathing fresh air.

It's just fine to remove it. A good idea in a hot climate in fact. I would suggest opening up your air filter box and making sure the little flapper door is sutck in the right position though... (Remove your airfilter and look, you'll see what I mean...)

Should I just remove the warm-air induction flap mech. & intake snorkel? I saw that mod in the Volvo performance handbook (Paul Grimshaw).
