Wiring Harnesses for sale 200

A member recently posted a message with link to a site that markets used serviceable Volvo wiring harnesses. Should have bookmarked it; now cant retrieve it. Can any one point me in right direction?

Thanks

Robert

I can vouch for Dave too. This year I bought two, one for an '86 240 and 87 740Gle
both were checked by a very reputable independent volvo shop (sponsor to the site)and they amazed by the condition they were in.No, they are not the original
ones that came w/ the car.New and improved replacement harnesses w/ volvo
part numbers is what they are.He also gives excellent after sales service!!
Good Luck! I just replaced my 740 last weekend.

This seems like a rip. They are still used harnesses. Why would they not be subject to all the frailties described. In effect it is saying, "These were no good to begin with and I will sell you one that is already well on it's way to having the usual problems."

Probably because they are obviously new replacements with Volvo part labels (indicating replacement part) that were installed on cars, shortly thereafter junked for other reasons. You see such parts all the time if you visit yards regularly. Yes, they are a vast minority, but you can find things like that and I am sure Dave does just that.

Yes, "replacement" is the key word. I see that (now that I've read the information a little more closely). My apologies to Dave.

I think Volvo (or its harness vendor) either fixed the insulation problem or found a new vendor. The harness problem seemed to be solved around '88, or so, and presumably the replacement Volvo harnesses are made using "new and improved" wire.

I bought two used 240 harnesses from Dave Barton -- one for an '86 and one for an '82. Both appeared to be almost new -- I paid around $100 for each, plus shipping. I thought then and I think now that it's a reasonable price. I hope Dave made a satisfying profit from me.
