Hello:

I am assuming your car has either a B280F or B280E v6.

Things to check:

1) fuel pressure regulator (see 700/900FAQS)

2) oxygen sensor

3) AMM (but it would run very poorly if it was bad)

4) dragging brakes

Is the car running smoothly? The OEM ignition components seem to be very good quality and often last a really long time. They may be well past their prime...

I doubt that a bad in-tank fuel pump would result in poor fuel economy.

I have the b280f.Havent seen a car in canada with the b280e yet.It apparently has like 175 horse.
The car runs very smoothly, except that it just guzzles toooo much gas. It's starting to cost me a fortune.Makes me wanna get a 740 turbo.

"...too much gas lately and i was wondering what are most common reasons..."

Bad fuel pressure regulator (common).

Bad engine temp sensor or wiring (not uncommon).

Possible bad AMM, though this is not the common failure symptom.

"...my intank pump is dead, can this be a factor?"

Unlikely.
