Actually. ALL 240 turbos in the USA are B21FT's. Two variations of 242 are with intercooler (the few '83 "flathoods" and 84 1/2s) and earlier cars, non-intercooled. It might take a little looking to find a nice one in the intercooled version but you could add an intercooler. The last of the 240 turbos, '85 (these were all 244s) are the fastest, it seems to me from my experience, but the reason for this is unclear and debated.

    Hi Andres

You could go to your local mustang/US car importer and see if they will import a 242/244/245 volvo turbo from the USA there are many different types of the B21 turbo in the US eg( B21ft/B21et and intercooled and non intercooled) all 200 series volvos in the USA were B21 turbo I think the B23 turbos were in Europe and Sweden. If you wanted to import a car from the USA the best combo would be a B21et intercooled. I don't know which years these were offered in the USA. And then put the top end on your rebuilt turbo spec B23 bottom. Or you could find a mid 80s 760 turbo here in OZ with a B23et and retro fit that engine in your car

    George

PS Remember the OZ dollar is only worth around 50 cents to the US dollar

    Cars I own
    Personal import 1974 144gl B20a M40
    1975 264gl B27E with a M51 getreg box
    1982 244gl B23E/M45 everyday car
