Volvo 240 Safety? 200

Volvo Safety: (http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/usedcars.htm)

Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Study (covers 1990-1994 vehicles) Safest Vehicles. These cars, and their typical drivers, are the safest on the road. listed in order from the safest.

Volvo 240
Saab 9000
Mercedes-Benz 190 D/E
Volkswagen Passat
Lexus ES 300
Lexus LS 400
Honda Accord
Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4
Dodge Caravan
Plymouth Voyager

I think the main safety feature of the 240 is their drivers and their inability to drive them hard. The latter more because of vehicle design rather than driver ability.

Reg,

Jorn Norway

True because Camaros are the number one killer today and that is because they can be pushed far beyond the ability of inexperienced drivers. The car when it exceeds its abilities will kill someone as it really will handle at very high speeds.
