Servicing Cooling System; a few questions 900

Hello-
I am going to start adjusting my boost soon, but before I do I am going to make sure my cooling system is in good condition. I am going to place a Nissens radiator (Previously installed on my manual tranny 242) in my 940 turbo. Now, do you think I need to flush the transmission cooler portion of the radiator? The caps have been on there since new, or do you think it is clean? How do I flush it if needed? Will I need to add tranny fluid, how much?
Next question, are there any coolants, that anyone here swears by? I have used Dexcool in the past with good results, but wanted to see what others were using with good results. Thanks

I use Dexcool with no bad results. I guess it was just because.

Supposedly it isn't the best with Nissens (all metal) radiators. The plastic/aluminum are OK with it.

You should just run a little transmission fluid through the trans cooler portion of the radiator. The trans cooler barely holds anything to begin with--you'll probably get virtually the same reading on the stick as before.

BIG disclaimer: 900

I personally have not had any bad experiences with Dexcool, but that is JUST MY EXPERIENCE.

Your mileage, as the shopworn saying goes, may vary. Greatly.
