Recently drove my wifes 89 740 T wagon and noticed that the brake pedal when depressed makes a hissing sound. Am I right in thinking that the brake booster is leaking? Any recomendations? Can these boosters be rebuilt? Is there a rebuild kit? Is the only option a remanufactured unit?

i think mine does that as well a tiny bit and it always has i believe. it does it when i'm depressing it.

do you mean yours does it when you're holding it steady? because that would be strange.
