Anyone Use Starla Exhaust? 200

Hello All,

I was checking prices on a replacement exhaust for my 240, and I saw a complete Starla exhaust for $95 from FCP Groton. I've bought exhausts in the past, but I can't remember if any were from Starla.

Has anyone bought one of these? Anyone ever order from this place? The prices seem extremely reasonable.

Thanks

Which of the springs Groton lists are sport? Their description is pretty basic. Does it have to do with the wire thickness? Do you know who makes them?

My dad just ordered me a pair of the sport springs. Not sure what the number is though. The sport has to do with the lowering and the increased spring rate, ie stiffer. Im planning on doing a complete sport suspension, Ill post a topic now and when its done. Regards, Joey

I see that their shocks, struts, coil springs, etc. has been updated and now lists a kit by Scan Tech.

I put that kit on my car. Installation is straightforward. One of the clamps they sent was junk, but no big deal. For $96, you can't go wrong. It looks like the OEM one (curvy exhaust pipe) rather than the straight pipe. Go for the kit. If you get it on ebay there's free shipping.

Thanks to everyone for the info. It was very helpful.

Thanks especially to Anthony for the Ebay tip. I went on there and picked it up with PayPal - couldn't be easier, and I saved a few more bucks!

Now to search out cheap parts for my AC conversion - no more R12 around here in NJ it seems!

Good luck with the installation. Tell me how it goes, especially with the connection between the axle pipe and the rear muffler.

I have Starla on the wife's 1986 745T. It is acually Starla/Walker. I am quiite pleased with the fit and the weight of the system. It has been in servie about two years. The NAPA system that preceded it was not as good.

I have the IPD free flow exhaust, its made by Starla. Im very pleased with it! FCP Groton does have some good prices, I might buy some of their sport springs for the brick. -Joey
