still looking for info on Roulunds brake pads... 700

let's try something different (btw, thanks to all who have posted already regarding pbr, metal masters, mintex, etc... great info).

I've used Roulunds belts to great success, and my enthusiasm has been confirmed by mechanics I've spoken with. However, I haven't used anything else made by Roulunds and am wondering if anyone has experience with their brake pads?

I ask because I found a set of pads online listed as "Dan-Block" brand pads. When I looked at the picture it was a shot of pads stamped with the Roulunds brand name. I'm figuring Dan-Block is the importer or state-side partner/supplier?

Any info, opinions, or knowledge on Roulund brake pads is appreciated.

thanks,
rt

still looking for info on Roulunds brake pads... 700

When I did my brakes last year, I found that the pads I was replacing (worn out) were Roulunds. As I remember it, they performed a little better than the PBR Deluxes I have now (they had less fade + more grab), but created more dust. They had a nice chamfer on the leading and trailing edges of the pad too - this probably helps with squeel.

You would probably be pleased with them. Good luck.

THANK YOU! 700

Pretty much confirms what I thought, although I'm saddened to hear that they are messy... argh, I was looking for a clean pad. I did notice the chamfer you mention... have to think about it some more.

thanks,
rt
