hello all, and thank you for all the help in the past. and i need your help again. i need new seats for my 1980 240 DL 2 Door. i would love leather, but cloth would be fine. anyways i've tried the junkyards with no luck and i've put posts on the internet. by the way my interior is tan.

I'm retiring my 244 GLT - it has black leather in reasonable shape - no rips, tears or punctures, but needs some touching up where the color has worn thin.

Don't know if these would help you - they're from a 244 so there is no mechanism allowing the seat back to fold for rear seat access. Maybe you could use my leather and your frames? If youre interested, my e-mail is jwsocw@earthlink.net

I have a set of seat skins in tan from a 242 drivers seat that I swapped my blue skins onto. You can have em for shipping if you want. I have the tan headrest to go with em to. In good shape btw.

If the brickster with the '80 vintage doesn't respond, I would love to have the skins. That is if they will fit the front seats on my '85 245 GL. P.O. let the leather rot away (idiot!), and wife.gov would REALLY appreciate a little interior spruce up for "Helga".

Those will be tough to find in a PNP yard. You might check with a trim shop. Find out who does the trim work for your local Volvo dealer's body shop. Here in Houston, I found a good shop that way. Also, call around to every indie Volvo shop, sometimes those guys part out cars for customers.

There are several Volvo dis-assemblers around, Strandberg's comes to mind, and Evan Reiss, a brickboarder for a while, and Dick R. found a 240 gold mine in Bryan/College Station Texas.
