Plugging those pesky FI ports.... 140-160

What's the best way to plug the FI ports on a Djet head when converting to carburation?

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to keep the djet stuff in case i want to convert back...(stock=higher value)

What do you think about tapping the hole and using a large setting screw. Will there be problems with heat and expansion of the metals? I worry about jb weld, If it detiriorates and falls into the intake ports i will be *SCREWED*. Didn't ipd sell plates that covered the holes?

Hi,
Do what I did with my B27 engine and leave the injectors in !
They only squirt in not out and I had no problems with leaks at all.

I think the point here is to minimize the amount of things to go wrong...although the B20 could take the pounding...hmmm. I'd much rather go with v-performance's supercharge kit though.

I used 7/8" freeze plugs with some JB Weld and they have never come loose.

AEC:
I bought some small freeze plugs from IPD to plug up those same holes in my 73 140. Worked great for years, even after I sold it off to become a taxi in Mexico. Still running today.
buena suerte,
