overdrive for auto trans 700

i have a 740 wagon. while driving down the road in o/d it will down shift as if i depressed the o/d button.wow any rec. should i go striaght for the switch or selonoid? thanks for any help.

It is probably the overdrive relay that needs to be resoldered. Check the FAQ's for the procedure.
