Volvo 240 Roadster!

Finally got some pictures of the car. Here's one. It looks really good.

I hope my son doesn't see this, He'll want to chop the roof off the 82 244 DL, its great if you live in the desert I guess. If it rains, its kind of messy ain't it?
Looks cool though.

No, but that thought did cross my mind. I could just pretend that they are though. I'm thinking about taking them off however... be a true open seater!

I'd like to see how you did that.

Want to turn my '84 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon into a pickup truck......

It's nothing fantsie. I just took a saw to all the pillars after removing the glass. Used the rubber trim that lines the door seals and put it on all the exposed metal edges left by the pillars. Relocated the seatbelt bolts down some. It took the better part of a day, but I did try to finish it and make it look nice. The cuts took under an hour however. The best part was yesterday: There was a new Land Rover Discovery behind me with a couple mid 20's, upper-class, girls inside... They leaned out the window and yelled "NICE CAR!". I should have got their numbers...
oh well, next time,

heh.. we made one of those outta a rusted ass 244 turbo.. it wasn't a real convertable cuz ya couldn't put the top back on.. we just chopped the top off and cruised it around fer a day before we pulled the engine and stuck it in a bertone and then the 244 turbo was cut into 3 or 4 pieces and thrown in the dumpster by my friends house.. ... no joke.. i'll see if i can dig up pictures later.
that thing needs some rims and a paint job and some GO under the hood

Yeah, I didn't want to call mine a convertible either. I thought the term "roadster" was appropriate however. (open top, not insinuating the means to convert back to a covered operation)
I don't think I'll be adding anything to this car. So far I only have $500 into it, just a lot of labor. I did lower it, but since cutting the roof off, the rear end popped back up, so I'll have to "readjust" that.
