There does not appear to be an abundance of choice out there anymore for people who would like to purchase one of the former standard twin-knob type sterios. Anyone have any suggestions or opinions about a particular brand perhaps? Thanks

Kenwood still makes one that seems a good value to me... The KRC 1007. am/fm, auto reverse tape, 4 speaker plus rca pre-outs, 36 or so presets. It was actually the only two knobber I could find so I got it. And it was only about $75 or so at cartoys. The knobs ain't adjustable though, so some cutting of the dash is required if it hasn't already been done....but not so bad as some I've had.

Thanks everyone, I found the Kenwood model as well today in my area. They want $ 138.00 cdn + tax of 15% and they have to order it. They are going to bring one in for stock so I can listen to it. I will check out the other suggestions as well. Thanks Again, Kevin

man...$138 plus !! 15%?? THats way too much. even the kenwood website says $80-$100 for that model. Both of mine cost less than $80, both new, and neither was on sale. I bet that the shop you found picked any old KRC series and thinks it will work. But they ain't all post mounts. Or they found a 2007. Not sure the difference twixt the two. I think the 2007 might have a more powerful amp or something....

I'd be searching around the net and even on ebay. Granted, it seems like a decent sterio, but I could get two here for what they are asking for one. Below is the link to the kenwood site about that model...
