This is a month old for us.New emission test and being tested for NOX.I'm doing my research but anybody knows causes and cures ?? Project car '85 744T
registered 5.9 for an allowed .95..Have replaced O2 sensor yesterday and it's running clean as far as I can tell but no way telling till I do a retest.
Thanks a lot for any info !!

Check for a vaccum leak. That is what my nox to be high on an 88 740.

HI: I am in the same boat here in New Jersey. I was told it is the catalitic converter, about $125.00 if you do it yourself, but there is no way to test it yourself, so now what right? Just go out and find a nice machanic and buy the sticker thats what we do in Jersey. No fuss, no problems. Good Luck.

the cat controlls NOX on these cars. NOX is affected by high cylinder temperature. EGR is how they bring it down on a lot of cars, If your cooling system is in good order, and the mixture is set right. A cat should fix it. When I got mine it almost failed on NOX. A new cat cleaned it right up.
