I've seen now that the wiring is very weak. I've recently found out about this volvo thing. If I was to get a engine harness for $265.00 will that get from my ECU control valve and include the rest of the LH-Jectronic system?

I have a good used one from a 1985 740 n/a. I bought it but I went ahead and rebuilt mine from scratch. (week of work!). Anyway I would sell it for $175.00.

It has all needed connectors for a Non-turbo B230F engine.

When you rebuilt your harness, what did you do for the striped wires?

I've been thinking about buying colored electrical tape as well as a colored wire assortment, and taping a band of color equivalent to the stripe at every connector. (I've got a motorcycle harness and both the engine and main harnesses to do for my '87 745T)

Where are you getting this for $ 265.00 ?
My local dealer quoted me $400.00.
It does include the ground wires attached to the intake manifold and all the injector wires. It also includes the wires that go down the front of the engine and connects to the oil pressure sensor.

I found that they are very easy to find. Listed as ENGINE HARNESS, you can find them by checking links on many sites. Clicking a parts advertisement above on this site offered me a Volvo part harness for $250.00.With labor on my turbo 740plus harness I was quoted $800.00. It is a very commom fix. This harness will replace all the engine wiring I understand is the main wiring problems with Volvo.
