Ok, theres a couple things I'm not sure where to find for my 242 ti build up. I want to get a group A wing, or something similar. Any sugestions?

Second, I am planing on putting a roll cage in. I need something simple, doesn't have to be a full cage, just a bar would do but I need to be able to get 2 seats in and be able to get in and out of the car with out contorting myself to much. Does anyone make one pre-made or am I on my own?

there's a place called paeco that makes 240 rollbars. i think they're at www.paeco.com

The latest IPD flyer shows a trunk spoiler for the '75-'85 240 for $170. It doesn't sit high off the trunk lid, but it looks decent. Check with SAM aboutt the group-A spoiler. They had a reproduction, then they were sold out, and now they list it on the website again so they might have them now (1481.-SEK). This site also lists them, but I don't kow if they stock the spoilers:

I don't have my Paeco catalog handy, but I think they listed a cage for the 242.

The cage will be a custom job, which is not a bad thing if you go to a reputable builder. I was looking for a cage for my '80 Gt which was built into a ProRally car. There has apparently been nothing made for Volvo in many years. The few makers that did have a 240 application quit making them years ago. A word of caution, a street car with a roll cage can be actually dangerous. They need to be well padded wherever you might contact the cage in an accident and remember, they were intended to be used where the occupants were wearing helmets.

I own a 242GT myself much to the disgust of everyone i know, but that is the only down side to being an aussie volvo driver,
It's almost impossible to find information on the 242GT cars over here, i have a good friend in the wrecking business who keeps his eyes open for me but that's about it.
What i am interested to find out is do you have any pictures of how the GT's came from factory?
i am trying to find someone to make up the original orange and black decals for the exterior and i'm also trying to find out which year models had the orange rubber screw cover across the centre of the dash to line up with the stripes on the door trims...
Can you help me or know of anybody who can?

As far as the roll cage. A place like Autopower may be able to make you something. Do a web search for them, I don't know the url. They advertise in
the Sports Car magazine from the SCCA.

Cool, thanks! I'm mostly looking for is simple, actually basicly a roll bar, behind the front seats and conects through the rear. I don't want it to come up front because of the saftey reason, and I really wont need it at this time to do that!

They guy who owns the honda shop a few doors down just finished building his cobra, he owe's me a favor so i might have him help me come up with something!
