bendix caliper removal 700

Hi all,

I am trying to change the rotors and pads on my 740 gl. I have the car jacked up and the front wheels off. I have bendix front calipers. I have removed the lower guide pin, but can't figure out how to get the top guide pin out. any other hints for replacing rotors would be helpful, but most importantly I need to know how to get that upper guide pin out. Thanks

From memory you don't need to remove top pins, just rotate entire caliper upward, using that pin as pivot point. at a certain point push inwards toward car and caliper will slide off.

Thanks that was it I thought for some reason that I had to remove the top pin.
