B230F and B230FT engine differences 700

I am just curious as to the differences between the B230F and the B230FT. I already know the most obvious difference (turbo) and I think there is a difference in compression ratio (usually turbos have a lower one). What I would like to know is are there any major internal differences between the two engines. If they are similar except for a turbo and different pistons would it be worth it to keep my B230F and get an aftermarket turbo, or should i go for a B230FT swap?

The cam is different, and it's recommened that you swap out the 'M' on a boosted B230F for a 'T' or an aftermarket cam.

There's a guy who frequently posts to the Badbricks mailing list who has turbo'd his B230F. He runs in the neighborhood of 10psi which results in high 90's trap speeds in the 1/4 mile. You really should have an entire car to pull the engine and electrics from.

Another guy at the turbobricks message board is working on a turbo B23F, and a couple other frequent contributors have done similar projects with high compression B21FT's.

Oil supply and return are threaded into the block. Head has sodium filled valves (exhaust) and the pistons are dished for lower compression. I think all eelse is the same.

What about hardened valve seats? Does anyone know? I ask this as a question, because I don't know.

Also, exhaust manifold is different. Intake is different. intercooler, and CBV have to be added. I know this is not the question you asked (ENGINE) but I figure it is relative to your question.

I don't think the intake manifold is different though. The B230intake mod for B21FT's can use any B230 intake manny.
