Stopped to get gas. Left keys in 94 940. Pulled latch to open door. All doors locked. Called locksmith. Relieved of many bucks. What will fix it??? Thanks

I have had the same thing happen to me. Always, always, always, always have a spare key on you. I posted the same problem a while back. The answers on the board said there must be a short or a frayed wire in the drivers door. I haven't had time to take my door apart yet so I don't know the fix. If you find a fix, please post and let me know.

That hasn't happened to me, but if it did I'd use my plastic wallet key, which you can get at your dealer's parts counter and have it cut to match your key - they shouldn't even charge you.

Again, not a fix, but a good backup:
Get a duplicate key made and one of those magnetic key holders. You can get them both at any hardware or auto parts store.
